A powerful mystic and very important elf at her prime, the younger Galadriel will probably still be learning the ropes of what it means to be an elf queen. Morfydd Clark will reportedly appear as a young Galadriel, who was played by Cate Blanchett in the movies. His character was originally announced as “Beldor" but fans had speculated that he could be Elrond, played by Hugo Weaving in the Peter Jackson movies. Robert Aramayo will be playing another lead role, appearing as the half-elven hero Elrond. It was originally reported that she would play a character called Tyra but it turns out that was just a placeholder name (this is also true of many of the characters who were initially named). Her character will be called Elanor ‘Nori’ Brandifoot and is an early ancestor of the hobbits. Markella Kavenagh was the first actor cast for the show and she will be playing one of the lead roles. More names were announced after the release of the show's first teaser. Seven character names were revealed in February 2022 and some of them are key figures in the LOTR mythos. It appears there are quite a lot of “tricksy hobbitses” running around trying to ensure that nothing significant is revealed until the time is right. There is a lot of secrecy surrounding every aspect of the show’s production and even the names that have been revealed may not all actually be for real.
